Fronteras del Sur S.A. is the result of years of experience and vision in the world of distribution. With warehouses in the Colon Free Zone and regional offices in Buenos Aires, Argentina, we specialize in serving a strategic niche in the state of Rio Grande do Sul on the border between Argentina and Brazil, where we have built strong relationships with Duty Free owners on the Brazilian side.

 

Since 2020, we identified a great opportunity in this region and, thanks to our experience and close approach, we have been able to turn these stores into key allies, boosting our brands with effective marketing campaigns and a prominent presence in the market.

Our history is based on more than 40 years of experience in the retail and travel sector, working with diverse product categories and adapting to the dynamics of international trade.

 

In 2020, when we traveled to Rio Grande do Sul for business, we saw an opportunity and took full advantage of an unexplored target area with a very large (huge) potential. Using our experience and contacts we were able to establish an excellent personal relationship with the Duty Free owners, turning them into good customers and partners, allowing us to sell and invest in marketing campaigns of all kinds, to get the best results for each of our brands.

 

The results have been successful and partnerships have been established.we know we are interested in expanding and offering their products directly (by cutting secondary sources that in some cases can damage the image of the brands) to this specific Brazil Border City Duty Frees.

Our customers are seven different duty free stores totaling about fifteen very large duty free stores this year: next year there will be 5-7 new duty free stores in this area. The area is growing at a rapid pace and store owners are buying products where they can, mostly from secondary sources. We want to offer the best brands and give them the support they need by investing in them, which is not currently happening.

 

It is important to comment that these are the only borders to cross and get from Buenos Aires or any place in Argentina to the main cities in Brazil like Rio or Sao Paulo and vice versa; the traffic is huge from the amount of people crossing on both sides in all the border cities. Making this an incredible opportunity for companies like yours, to expand your sales with a responsible distributor.

 

In 2025 for FRONTERAS DEL SUR, we anticipate generating $15

million in sales across all of our brands & whole selection of

products with a mix of regular assortment items as will as clear out promotion.

Warehouse & Coverage

We are covering an area of an estimated 600, kms of border cities, 80 kms distance between Uruguaiana and Sao Borja, 175 kms, distance between Sao Borja and Porto Xavier and 102 kms, distance between Porto Xavier and Porto Mana, which have operational FREE STORE. 

 

And we benefit from the distribution of products to their stores and at the same time allow us to have a strong marketing team that help us in backing placement. In other words, we have all our merchandise where it should be, located in the stores and investing in campaigns and brand promotion.
